Driver-t (Mel Gibson), a hivatásos bűnözőt lekapcsolja a mexikói rendőrség, amikor a kocsijában egy rakás lopott pénzzel kétségbeesetten próbál átjutni a határon. A zsaruk a pénzt elveszik, őt pedig bedugják a hírhedt El Pueblito börtönbe, ahol mindent a börtönbandák irányítanak. Drivernek sem igazolványa, sem ujjlenyomata, mégis felkeresi az amerikai követség egy korrupt munkatársa, aki hallott a pénzről. Ha Driver nem fizet neki, elárulja a hatóságoknak, hol van, onnan pedig már csak idő kérdése, mikor találják meg azok is, akiktől a pénzt lopta. Driver tudja, hogy az élete a tét. Szerencséjére megismerkedik egy fiatal fiúval, aki megtanítja, hogyan élheti túl a börtönt, ám a srácnak van egy rettenetes titka: ugyanolyan ritka vércsoportja van, mint a bűnöző Javinak, aki élet és halál ura a börtönben. A fiú Javi életbiztosítása, és orvosok állnak állandó készenlétben, hogy átültessék Javiba a srác máját, ha eljött az ideje. Csakhogy ehhez Drivernek is van egy-két szava: vakmerő tervet eszel ki, hogy megszökjön a fiúval, annak anyjával és a pénzzel.



Original synopsis:


The story of Driver (Mel Gibson), a career criminal who is picked up by the Mexican police as he desperately tries to cross the border in a car stuffed full of stolen cash. The police take the cash and dump him in the infamous El Pueblito prison - a hell on earth where the prison gangs run the show. Driver has no ID or fingerprints but he still gets a visit from a corrupt American Embassy official who has heard about the money. If Driver doesn't find a way of paying him off while he's inside, then he's going to let the authorities know where Driver is. And it won't be long before the guys he stole the money from find him too. Driver knows it is sink or swim. He hooks up with a young boy who shows him how to survive in the prison, but the kid has a terrible secret. He shares a rare blood type with Javi - the criminal who ruthlessly controls the prison and everyone in it. The kid is Javi's life insurance policy and he has doctors on standby to transplant his liver whenever the time comes. But Driver has other ideas and pretty soon he devises an audacious plan to escape with the kid, the kid’s mother and the money.

Magic Mike - First trailer and movie poster

Megjelent Steven Soderbergh (A bűn hálójában, Fertőzés) Magic Mike című filmjének előzetese. A Magic Mike-ban Channing Tatum alakítja a címszereplő jóhírű sztrippert, akiért bolondulnak a nők. Nem elég, hogy a Matthew McConaughey karakterének tulajdonában lévő bárban estéről estére elkápráztatja a hölgyvendégeket tánctudásával és kidolgozott felsőtestével, de még házhoz is megy egy kis rendőrjelmezes akcióra. Rutinos táncosként pedig új feladata, hogy betanítsa az újonc Alex Pettyfer-t (A negyedik).

A fenékrázáson kívül persze lesz itt még szerelmi szál (Cody Horn játssza a megértő barátnőt), és a vetkőzéssel kapcsolatos morális kérdések alapos kitárgyalása is. A film részben  Channing Tatum fiatalkori élményein alapul, amikor pár évig maga is sztriptíztáncosként tevékenykedett. A Magic Mike várhatóan júliusban érkezik a magyar mozikba.

The first trailer and poster for director Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike have gone online.  The film is loosely based on Channing Tatum‘s days as a male stripper, and the actor stars as a mentor to a young “exotic dancer” played by Alex Pettyfer. Though some may balk at the “Channing Tatum stripper movie”, this world actually looks like it could be a lot of fun through Soderbergh’s eyes. The trailer opens with the easy sell, but once we get into the plot it’s obvious that there’s a bit more to Magic Mike than professional undressing. Soderbergh isn’t one to do Step Up-type movie where every single plot beat is predictable and groan-worthy (which this movie could easily have been), so I’m interested to see what drew him to this story.  Moreover, Matthew McConaughey appears to be having a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to watching him steal every scene he’s in. The film also stars Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Olivia Munn, Riley Keough, Cody Horn and Adam Rodriguez.
