Hosszú idő után ismét hallhatunk a OneRepublic felől.
Két hete (05.13.) jelent meg a közelgő negyedik albumhoz kapcsolódóan az új "single", ami a "Wherever I Go" címet viseli. Négy nappal később (05.17.) pedig a videoklip (music video) is napvilágot látott. Természetesen a rajongók körében osztatlan sikert aratott, ezt jól mutatják a számok is, hiszen rengetegen vásárolták meg online a számot vagy nézték meg YouTube-on a videót. (Jelenleg több, mint. 5.7 millió a YT megtekintések száma!)
Az új albumról annyit lehet tudni, hogy Brent Kutzle, Drew Brown, Eddie Fisher és Ryan Tedder (és Brian Willett) még júliusban is fognak rajta dolgozni, így a megjelenés szerintem legkorábban 2016. őszére várható. Ez lesz az eddigi legnagyobb albumok, ugyanis 15-16 track lesz rajta.
Sőt, az album megjelenése kapcsán világ körüli turné indulása várható 2017. elején! :) :P

Ryan Tedder a hónapban több interjút is adott. Az egyikben említette, hogy Miike Snow és Sigur Rós zenei világa is megjelenik az új albumban, ami az eddigiektől teljesen szokatlan lesz, mégis szerves része a OneRepublic munkásságának.
Az, hogy "duettek" lesznek az előadók között vagy csak a munkájuk hatása jelenik mg az új album eddigitől eltérő számaiban az pár hónap múlva kiderül. :)
A Sigur Rós egy izlandi poszt-rock együttes, zenéjük dallamos, klasszikus és minimalista elemeket is tartalmaz. A név jelentése izlandi nyelven a „győzelem rózsája”, kiejtése pedig nagyjából "sziur rósz".
Egyes számaik többek között hallhatóak voltak a 127 óra (127 Hours) illetve az Így neveld a sárkányodat (How to Train your Dragon) c. filmekben is!
Legközeleb augusztus 13-án, szombaton a Sziget Fesztivál Nagyszínpadán láthatod őket! :)
